EPIK Gaming vs. Team Dignitas
EPIK Gaming vs. Team Dignitas
The picks and bans were critical during this match with EPIK taking a much more fluid approach to their team composition playing on their strengths and doing their best to capitalize on Dignitas’ few weaknesses. This resulted in an unorthodox, but ultimately effective team composition for the second game particularly.
During Game One, both EPIK and Dignitas curiously positioned two champions in the top lane rather than the typical solo lane top with a duo on the bottom. However in Game Two, they reverted to the traditional positioning with a duo lane on bottom. Throughout the match, early ganks and jungle control were expertly coordinated from both teams. Both Dignitas’ Jatt and EPIK’s Dan Dinh heavily influenced the early game and both teams struggled to establish control of Baron and Dragon. Ultimately EPIK’s coordination rose above Dignitas in two straight games, earning them a spot in the Winners Finals.
Player of the Match: Although all players exhibited top notch performances, two in particular stand out. Both Westrice and Salce easily pushed both games forward to secure a solid victory for EPIK.
